Data Collection

AHOP utilized a program survey form to gather data from the 233 programs that reported having completed a program evaluation that demonstrated a positive impact on health outcomes for people with asthma. The program survey included questions regarding program background, planning and design, program administration and implementation, and evaluation design and findings.  When possible, the survey was conducted as a telephone interview. For programs where there were significant barriers to conducting the interview (e.g., repeatedly non-responsive, no current contact information could be found) the survey was completed by reviewing available published articles.  Survey forms were completed for 223 asthma programs.

A program overview for each of the 223 programs was developed to encourage networking and information sharing among programs.
